Daniel
I recently stayed at Fletcher Hotel in Middelburg for a short business trip. The location was perfect, with easy access to the railway station and the picturesque canal. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast selection was the best I've had in the Netherlands. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. a great experience!
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

Get what you pay for, if you want a reasonable budget hotel in the city centre then this is just about ok
Breakfast was very poor, paper thin walls, virtually unventilated bathroom, mattresses softest in Europe

restaurant/bar were OK, although closing early on a Saturday evening
too expensive for an outdated room, that needs refurbishment, too basic. not good value for money! Outside of building could use some attention too

As a light sleeper, I appreciated the friendly staff and their understanding of our concerns about the room. The hotel's location, less than a minute away from Middelburg train station, made it extremely convenient to explore the city center and its surrounding areas.
Felt just like being at home, absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Some of the rooms of the hotel are literally a disaster. Room 405 is small and looks just ok, but the walls are paper-thin. I could hear people snoring and passing wind from the two neighbouring rooms. It was impossible to sleep!!

Great location, within walking distance to many attractions and public transportation. Clean and relatively quiet rooms.
The hotel decor is dated and uninspiring. The bathroom was cramped and the shower was poorly designed, leading to water spilling all over the floor.

situation to the railway station
it is a little bit oldfashioned overall

the hotel was very central to Middelburg so was in an ideal position for shops and restaurants. there were good bikes for hire on site.
the bedroom was too small for two people. The shower was broken and not repaired when we reported it. there was not enough bedding. Generally the building had been divided into small rooms and the walls were too thin, I was kept awake by the man snoring in the next room! The.bathroom was freezing and had no heating.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious four-star hotel. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, just across the canal from the railway station. It made it so convenient for me to travel around the city and explore all the nearby attractions. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, they were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I had a great night's sleep every night. The breakfast offered at the hotel was outstanding, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The fact that it included champagne was a pleasant surprise!
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay. It is the perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Nicely located on the border of the city center.
Completely outdated rooms, unclear emergency exits, an elevator that is too small and a cramped breakfast room.
